Alleging that the perpetrators were from Pakistan and accusing Pakistani institutions of involvement are two different issues.

The first might have been tolerable, the second is what primarily vitiated the atmosphere.

Agree, not to mention the point that RAW probably does not have the capability of doing things like this. This was a sophisticated operation, and included getting the route of the VVIP convoy changed at the last moment.

IMHO this "little known" fellow is just a fall guy who will probably be let off for lack of evidence after a decent interval of time. The real perps are high up in the Military-Jihadi complex, IMHO. But at least one can be thankful that India is not being blamed, at least not officially.

Not atleast, but only. Pakistan cannot afford war now or in the immediate future. But as you pointed out. If India is found involved, it would imply that approach has already been taken by RAW.

That said, the guy should be caught soon since they have identified him. And Pakistan is working overtime to catch the perpetrators of this act.

But dont you think you need to learn first how to differentiate between millitary and those who are retired now ? Or is it that in India those who retired from Indian army are still considerd part of Indian army or called the Millitary?

The intresting thing is that the world still dosnt know how much Indian army has links with hardline Hindu radical organisations. Would you be fair enough to call the entire Indian army in bed with radical Hindu organizations as well?

ISLAMABAD: Investigators have not found any concrete evidence so far of involvement of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba in the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore last week and see the evidence of a ‘foreign hand’ behind the incident, Interior Adviser Rehman Malik told the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior on Monday.

The committee discussed law and order across the country, the Lahore terrorist attack and efforts for the release of abducted United Nations official John Solecki.

Rehman Malik said the investigation into the Lahore attack was moving in a positive direction and the leads gathered so far provide sufficient evidence of involvement of a foreign hand in the terrorist attack.

India was using Afghanistan’s soil against Pakistan, he told the committee.

The committee expressed displeasure over the security arrangements made for the visiting team and termed the incident a security lapse. The committee members said the government should have provided extra security to the guests because there were intelligence reports of a possible attack.

The interior adviser admitted that the police were not fully capable of dealing with the terrorist strikes because the terrorists were equipped with modern weapons and technology.

Malik told the NA committee the government was making serious efforts for the release of Solecki, who had been abducted by “anti-Pakistan elements”.

This is most likely India supporting terrorists in Pakistan.

I hope they're getting the truth serum warmed up in Islamabad for when these terrorists are rounded up.

I am afraid , the Pakistani sleuths are taking everyone for a ride. The first 72 hours are crucial if you want to crack the case. The Pakistanis are taking an each way bet, some blaming India, others blaming LET or some other Jehadi group !! There is no cohesion between the interior ministry and the state government .

Even know, there is no tangible evidence of the culprits. There are only conflicting statements coming out of every department that is investigating this case.

Contrast this with Mumbai attacks !! Within 24 hours, India was convinced and firm in its judgement of who was behind the attacks. Even without Kasab in custody, tangible evidence lnking the attackers to Pakistan was provided ! The whole nation led by Pranab Mukherjee was ferocious in its attacks.
The whole process of anti terror mechanism was overhauled and the nation and its people became vociferous in its desire to ensure that Mumbai 26/11 never happens again.

Compare that to Pakistan and it seems its people and govt are not bothered !! As long as it does not affect them , they simple dont care. I had though Nawaz Sharief and co along with all persuasions of Pakistani politics , its awam would link up and make this investigations into a priority to end terrorism in Pakistan. However it seems its more of a desire to fight against each other and sweep the investigations under the carpet.

A little-known militant Muhammad Aqil has been identified by the Pakistani security agencies as the mastermind of the audacious attack on the Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore, but raids across the city to nab him proved futile on Monday as he managed to escape.
The security agencies conducted raids at several places after identifying Aqil, who has links to a banned militant group. However, the name of the group was not revealed.


Though Aqil, who hails from Kahuta, managed to escape, his accomplice Talat was captured, Geo News channel quoted sources as saying.


Talat and Aqil had been living in a flat near the Liberty traffic roundabout in Lahore, where the Sri Lankan team was attacked on March 3 by a dozen gunmen who ambushed its luxury bus, leaving seven players and an assistant coach injured and eight people dead.


Talat purchased a mobile phone SIM that was used by the terrorists involved in the attack, the channel reported. Aqil masterminded the attack and was also in-charge of its execution, it added.


The Pakistani police have detained nearly 100 people for questioning. None of the 12 terrorists responsible for the attack have been arrested so far. Police have also described at least five of the persons detained by them as "facilitators" of the terrorists who carried out the attack.


Mobile phones discarded by the terrorists have been crucial in tracing suspects, officials have said. Preliminary investigations have also suggested that the attack could have been carried out by a group of operatives of the banned Lashker-e-Tayiba to avenge the arrest of their operations commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi in the wake of the Mumbai attacks.

Findings are rubbish and ridiculous:
Actual perpetrators and felicitators were RAW>
RAW is working on new theories of terrorism based on false flags.
RAW LTTE and RSS were behind the attack on Srilankan Team. The LTTE did not participated in operation but felicitated the RSS Hindu Kashmiri group guided by RAW:
Objetives behind the attack:
1.India intended to influnece future American/Obama policies towards Pakistan and sousth asia expected on 3rd April, 2009.
2.To keep Pakistan out of world cup 2011.
3.Portray Pakistan as terrorist affected country unsafe for international comity for purpose of attracting future investments from multinationals in Indian cities.
4.To further target the LeT in the book of UNSC.

As it was a first mission of LTTE outside Srilanka therefore, the operation was conducted by RSS felicitated by LTTE and controlled by RAW. The team was not a target for killing but it was a target for above multiple reasons. The LeT was named as a false flag like Al-Faran group acted in 1995 in kidnapping of foreign tourist in Kashmir.Al-Faran was creation of RAW but allegations were levelled against Kashmiri Militants.
