L-15 new pics(new engine)

Visually, it looks good - two big engines, nice contours, but I am concerned about fuel. Those engines are going to slurp fuel quickly, and there doesn't appear to be much room for adequate internal fuel.

Anyone know the range or duration?

i think the range is like 3000km though im not sure

Since the L-15 is on display at Zhuhai does this imply that the PLAAF is committed to producing and selling these babes?

That.. and the fact that the JL-9 will keep transition costs down.. shares a lot in common with the JJ-7. And if it meets the parameters and keeps costs down.. it will have the upper hand even if the Hongdu machine performs better.
although.. political considerations may be involved as well..

Stealthy Because they painted it black. ? Its a trainer. I don't think they put any effort on making it stealthy.

this is definately an Advanced Jet trainer from the looks of it and the pictures from Wangrong including training system and flight performance just the obvious proof of what I thought when i saw that

I think this plane can be effectively used in the COIN, just like the Yak-130 of Russia which they made anddeployed in their cointer insurgency operations.

talking about Yak-130 the L-15 looks a lot like it
there is a hint of British Hawk as well from front and side angles. then again all being planes and lighter jet versions there are bound to be some similarities

The L-15 is not developed by Shenyang. It is developed by Hongdu, a company from Southern China.
