Kuwaiti paper: Jordan plans Pakistan-backed nuclear plant
By JPOST.COM STAFF

Pakistan has promised to assist Jordan in constructing a nuclear core for energy production purposes, Israel Radio quoted Kuwaiti media as saying on Friday.

Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jaridah reported that King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Islamabad for a surprise visit on Thursday in order to request assistance in the endeavor from Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.

A Jordanian source told the paper that the kingdom had already been promised funding for the project by sources in the Persian Gulf, adding that Amman would announce the plan publicly within two weeks.

The report cited rising oil prices and an increasing need for alternative energy sources as the reasons behind the decision.

Recently, Morrocco have signed agreement with France to build neuclear power plants and Egypt has also decided to do so and they say they have many states willing to help them.
We all know SaudiArabia has initiated some institution in this direction.
Well come to neuclear middle east.
There you go, NPT nothing more than trash.
You announce to arm one state with neuclear without him signing NPT than you cannot convince others to do so.
