Nuran Hinggs had been working as the chief of a field hospital, established and operated by Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and International Federation of Red Cross

An expatriate senior official of Red Crescent, stationed in Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhiya upazila, left Bangladesh on Monday upon receiving an order from the government.

Dr Nuran Hinggs, an Australian national, had been working as the chief of a field hospital, established and operated by Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and International Federation of Red Cross at Kutupalong refugee camp in Ukhiya.

According to the order, signed by Foreign Ministry’s Assistant Secretary (UN-1) Shoaib Abdullah on Sunday, she had prevented government officials from entering the hospital.

Ukhiya Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Nikarujjaman Chowdhury said the incident took place on January 12 when four Rohingyas were killed in a fire at the Ghumdum transit camp. He along with other government officials went to the hospital to see the injured.

But Nuran, exercising her authority as the chief of the hospital, did not allow the government officials to enter and inspect.

Fissy.... Even it was reported that there was a hospital of some sort run by some international body, which also did not permit local officials to enter even before current Rohingya crisis. Even on talk show, some suspected that these places Might be harbouring anti- srate elements under western hidden agenda. Still wonder where we get these so-called ISIS guys from in BD every now & then?
