Good step indeed, but how many people in KPK have access to internet and what checks would have been implemented to stop potential exploitation?

You are right but so is @Leader, this is some actual progress. BUT this should NOT he the end of it. To tackle law and order, and security situation one needs an eefextive system with three things....Policy....which we dont have.....our AT/CT laws and third is the force.....
KPK has managed to work on the last entity by brining in reforms but again, it is equally important to formulate the policy.and legislation. Only than we will have.an eefective system in place

Im keenly looking forward to the local governance system. this would be the real test of PTI, fulfilling its promise to delegate power and responsibility to UC level.

this is not a step forward to the surround terrorists, but the general law and order situation, exploitation by the police at the time of registering an FIR, now FIR wont be dependent on police officers.

not many ofcourse, however, every town and village has its chunk of educated people, once people know a easy way, they adopt it, similarly once people know that FIR can be filled without bribing the police officer or fear of not being registered, they will get it done online, dont worry about that, yes more languages should be introduced in the system, so that expression doesnt raise question of law.

we are talking about police reforms, you do know even some murderers are tried in atcs. counter terrorism will require commitment from federal govt too.

talking about terrorists walking out free than you need to make legislation, courts, protection to judges and very important thing, forensic evidence gathering

A good start by PTI...but PtI still needs to go a long way...
we all are well aware deplorable condition of Law and Order infrastructure system of KPK.
I appreciate of KPK's step,yet still I persist that we need to take more steps for control of crime and disorder in much organized way.

That is a good development. But I am wondering how will people abuse this facility? The bottleneck would prove to be resources, esp. the number of personnel.

@cb4, the comparison with Punjab is not fair. In fact it is insensitive. KPK is going through such a bad situation particularly because of proximity with Tribal areas. Besides, PML-N people like to spend money on Law & Order in Punjab, particularly Lahore.

Anyways I hope PTI takes more steps to ensure people's own government. I hope their attitude is seen to be better in relation to governance than PML-N.

Education is the key. I hope PTI in KPK outspends others.

its a service being offered dear just like people can check the registration details of a vehicle from excise & taxation website. atleast a part of community will be benefited from it rather than not doing anything

Online FIR? I don't think they can.. they can make Computerize police system. They can make Online Complaint form. But Online FIR, is foolish idea and also against the Law. If they try to do then Court will soon intervene.

a step by step approach would help the citizens understand the use of the system better, perhaps this can be done by means of advertisement or a video on the online webpage itself . this is a great step well done

is FIR different from complaint? its a good idea though, sometimes police does not lodge FIR even if you go to them.
