What the South Koreans did in the Vietnam war is worse than what the PLA did, heck that Viet doesn't dare to mention the Japanese were responsible for > 1-2 mln Vietnamese casualties in WW2. Killing of civilians is war crime, however. Perhaps not as severe as what we Japanese did in Nanjing. Still, you cannot claim to wash your hands like Pontius Pilate when he condemned Christ Jesus to the cross.

All kind of warfare will commit the war crime.

We didn't want to attack Vietnam, but it was Vietnam who got boosted with high morale after the victory against the US. And they became very aggressive and constantly harassed our border and killing our civilians.

However, the PLA is still very humane compared to the Japanese soldiers during the WWII.

They were trying to help those Vietnamese civilians by doing the all kind of labor work for them, but they didn't get shot on the back every time.

The PLA soldiers were providing the medical treatment to their female Vietcong pow.

The Vietcong claimed that the PLA has killed over 100,000 Vietnamese civilians, but in fact most of them were militia under the disguise.

Many PLA got shot on the back when they were helping the civilians to do the labor work.

So yes, the PLA has killed over 100,000 Vietcong militia, and they shouldn't blame the PLA soldiers, since this was the wartime, and the soldiers were supposed to kill those threatening enemies.
