I have to admit, seriously, in 5 years, you Vietnamese forced the evacuation of the American Military Command in South Vietnam, destroyed the Republic of South Vietnam, mobilized over 150,000 regular troops into Cambodia to fight the Khmer Rouge, mobilized an additional 200,000 to the border with Thailand , and at the same time fighting against a Chinese Army of some 300,000 in the northern provinces of Viet Nam? Still you guys did not even give up an inch of Vietnamese territory to the Chinese ?

I know. How can anyone claim a 1988 naval skirmish as a battle? Anyways as from what we know in the 1979 Battle of Lang Son, the Chinese suffered 19,000 casualties a 'pyrric victory'. Chinese PLA regulars of the 54th, 55th and 43rd Armies (over 130,000 strong) fought against what? 15,000 Vietnamese militia?
