West bengal has a distinct advantage with trade with bangladesh, and it should use it's common language, cultural spects to build micro-economy trade, people-people relations, educational investments etc.
The WB connection can cement better relation with Bangladesh, there is a lot of potential to be explored here.

As it is , I see Bangladeshi laborers in droves in the construction sites of Bangalore. Pity they have to make do without valid documents and face police harassment. Now just imagine how kool life would be for all of you , if you chose to become members of our Glorious INDIAN REPUBLIC . Think about it once .

Border restrictions should be relaxed and there should be more people to people travel across the border. Since Bangladesh is so congested many Bangladeshis should migrate to Calcutta and expand into the other Bengal areas.
