FYI, NK's civilian food situation isn't that bad(this is confirmed by daily food price tracking in the market), the civilians learned how to survive via subsistence-farming on abandoned land and trades. It is the NK's military and government workers that depend on state-rations that are starving. This is why NK has been begging for food aid in order not to feed civilians, but its troops and government workers. And this is also why the ROK and the US are not interested in providing food aid, and is persuading Europeans to not to either. That leaves China as the sole regime sustainer.

Could it be that all the refugees SK gets from NK costs them or they fear that collapse of NK will be collapse of SK too if all those NK refuges are allowed to come to SK?

NK refugees will not be allowed to get out of NK. NK will be sealed. And the NK regime collapse is ROK's official state policy, and will do everything to hasten the collapse so that ROK can take over NK.

Unfortunately the regime will not collapse over night or anytime soon unless something is drastic is done. North Korea,unlike the middle-east is right next door to two military powers China and Russia. Neither will allow for US-Nato military interventions to pass and will most likely intervene militarily should the US and friends decides to go in like a champ.

Nevermind him. He formed it based upon his own personal opinion. Fact of the matter that China and North Korea aren't as close and the reluctance to enter peace talks with China when we requested it is enough to rubbish his claim. We'd much rather have Korea be united under the governance of the south. NK is too unpredictable nowadays and there is not a great deal can be done about it unless they fallout with both China and Russia.
