Six terrorists were killed during intense exchange of fire in an intelligence-based operation by the security forces in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan District on Wednesday.
According to ISPR, the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and civilians.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from them.
Locals of the area appreciated the security forces response and expressed their full support to eliminate menace of terrorism from the area.

On 13 March 2023, terrorists opened fire on Police party employed on Census security duty in general area Raghzai, Tank District. Resultantly, one policeman, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
On receipt of the information, security forces immediately cordoned the area, blocking all possible escape routes.
Fleeing terrorists were intercepted in general area Gara Guldad, Tehsil Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District. After intense exchange of fire, terrorist commander Abdul Rasheed alias Rasheedi, was killed.
The killed terrorist was wanted by police being involved in numerous terrorist activities against Security Forces as well as killing of innocent civilians. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.

At least five terrorists have been killed as security forces carried out intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in North and South Waziristan districts, the military said in a statement on Friday.
"Weapons, ammunition and a large quantity of equipment were also recovered from the killed terrorists," the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The ISPR further said that the army was determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from every inch of our territory with an unflinching resolve.

Pakistan's security forces have conducted numerous operations against terrorism across the country, not only arresting terrorists and their facilitators but also foiling several attacks during the last three months.
Security forces have killed more than 150 terrorists during the last three months as operations to eliminate terrorism from the country continue. At least 1,007 terrorists were arrested during 6,921 operations by security forces across the country in the last three months.
A total of 1,960 operations were conducted in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, out of which 1,516 were area-domination operations, 301 were intelligence-based operations, and 143 were area-sanitisation operations.
As a result of the operations conducted by security forces, 98 terrorists were killed and 540 were arrested in K-P.

The police were conducting a search operation in the area when the terrorists opened fire on them.

A wanted terrorist commander Abdul Rasheed alias Rasheedi has been killed in an operation by security forces in Gara Guldad area of Dera Ismail Khan district.
According to ISPR, the operation was conducted after a terrorist attack on police party deputed on census security duty in Raghzai area of Tank district. A policeman also embraced martyrdom in the exchange of fire.
The killed terrorist was wanted to police for being involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent civilians.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.
