It was a sort of panicked quick reactionary statement after seeing the direct and explicit threat and responding with a veiled implicit rhethoric. However the mistake is there and the sources he obtained the info had to be checked. Still he can roll back the rhethoric later as he didnt explicitly threatened anyone. Btw it doesnt mean israel is not a potential threat. It is a threat as much as israel sees Pakistan as a threat. If less then it is less.
