Kashmiris manhandling Indian police in occupied Kashmir

It was India's responsibility to prevent it, as it was forcibly occupying that territory. It happened in India's watch - its India's fault.

Thats why we decided to send our security forces there..so that such "mistakes" are not repeated...at least not on our watch.

The real question is why is a armed man running from a unarmed one ? If i am not mistaken he had a AK variant on him.

Which he again picked up after it got tossed.

So are you suggesting he should have used the AK instead? :what:

Hmmm ... maybe you are right.. He should have used it..

Professionalism and keeping his oath.

Because they are under explicit orders not shoot until in a life threating situation..otherwise human right groups make a lot of hue and cry, as had happened when a protester got hit by a tear gas shell and died.

Well when a angry mob is swarming you it might be a good idea to.

Welcome to the reality and the restraint exercised by the Indian Security forces in Kashmir.

Not many policemen do that and certainly not in an insurgency prone area.

Yup.. Lets hope next time something like that happens, he dont hesitate to spend few bullets.

What they don't show in the video is the aftermath of those man- handlers in the police station.

It is best said plainly and bluntly now rather than left up to Indian imagination. India should be clear about the lines that it must not cross and ethnic cleansing in Kashmir would lead to India's own annihilation.

I don't like to beat around the bush and I've given you the most likely Pakistani response you'll get in actuality. It's better you know this now, than to find out after such a misadventure in Kashmir.

And buddy nothing was said in temper, it is not an option I want to use, or like to use - its not something that would be used lightly as well. But genocide in Kashmir, ethnic cleansing are things that will force Pakistan's hand into launching the biggest offensive that we can to end it. I didn't say it to piss someone off - it will happen.

We don't want to, but we will have to.

Woo woo wooo..!! Hold your horse Mister..! I dont want to sound offensive but your post make me reply..!

Firstly, Nothing like so called ethnic cleansing or genocide is going to happen there and neither i am in favour of something or anything like that..!

Secondly, this is reply to your post that IF(which is not going to happen) something like this(ethenic cleansing) will ever happen in kashmir.! Then ""MARK My word"" Pakistan can't do a whoot about it..! yeah can't do a whoot!! Except asking world leaders and UN to take a serious note or intervene in this matter to stop India..!

Thirdly, what pakistan will do is to just increase the insurgency level from your side to infiltreate Indian side of kashmir..! Thats all.!

YEAH THATS ALL PAKISTAN WILL AND CAN DO..! And now if you will reply to me that we will launch greatest ever offensive lwith nukes and all then that is your "only wishfull thinking"..! This is just your imagination..! pure Imagination..!

that's an extremely evasive answer. My question to you is, where was your outrage when there was an ethnic cleansing of kashmiri hindus? Were they not a part of the kashmir 'forcibly occupied by india'? What gives you the right to 'nuke india' if one community is targetted, and not the other?

Again, the outrage starts from India's illegal occupation - everything that ensues is India's fault. We have fought various wars over this.

Whatever, I have no compulsions to convince you - fair warning has been given now, hopefully if a Jack Sparrow type person comments on the official level in the same way another warning would be given as well before all hell breaks loose.

My personal opinion is nukes would be triggered for a whole lot less.

Jammu and Kashmir police has used popular video-sharing website Youtube to arrest a youth who was allegedly involved in beating up a policeman in Srinagar's old city during this year's summer unrest. Shadab Hashmi, 18, who is a high school student, was arrested on Monday after police identified him from a video clip posted on Youtube.

The incident of manhandling of the policeman, who was critically injured, had taken place during the protests over the June 11 killing of Tufail Mattoo in tear smoke shelling by police in Gojwara area of the city.

In the video clip, a boy can be seen running after a policeman who is armed with an AK assault rifle. The youth pushes the policeman to the ground, disarms him and beats him.

However, the policeman, Constable Mushtaq Ahmad, somehow managed to get hold of his rifle and ran away from the spot.

Ahmad was then posted at the police post in Urdu Bazaar in Srinagar's old city, police said.

They said they had downloaded the video of the incident from the Youtube and identified the boy.

"We had downloaded that clip from Youtube and identified the boy as Shadab Hashmi. His father is from Delhi and was living at Rajouri Kadal. We arrested Shadab on Monday and he has been booked for attempt to murder, kidnap and snatching a weapon," Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Khanyar, Parvez Ahmad said.

Police had earlier arrested another youth and booked him under the Public Safety Act for fuelling unrest by posting provocative material on Facebook, a popular social networking website.

Another youth was arrested for publishing the names of top police officers on Facebook but he was released without charge on the assurance of his parents.

This summer the protesters used alternate media like social networking sites and video sharing sites to remain connected and spread the message of dissent. The police zeroed in on Hashmi from downtown Srinagar. He has been charged with attempt to murder, abduction and snatching of weapon.

Ruined his life........
