The US on Saturday said the current situation in Kashmir was India's internal issue and asked protestors to conduct agitations in a peaceful manner.

"We regret the loss of life in this incident. It is an internal Indian matter. We respect the efforts of the Government of India to investigate and resolve the current situation in Kashmir," said State Department spokesman Mark Toner, adding, US always encouraged India and Pakistan to resolve all its differences through dialogue.

"In terms of the protest, we would just urge everyone to refrain from violence and conduct protest in a free and peaceful manner," Toner said in response to a question on the latest situation in the Kashmir valley.

"We always support dialogue between India and Pakistan," Toner said when asked if Kashmir should be discussed between the two countries when their Foreign Ministers meet in Islamabad later this month.

Some times i like US for no obvious reason as they helps india a lots in some field.

You did not give anything to backup your claim. I can recall two instances where USA seems to be helping you guys.

1971: But many Pakistani felt USA backstabbed them. You may go through any relevant thread.

my dear friend just wait & watch.....
this type of protest backed by (our a@@ $$$$ enemy) happened earlier many times..the protest will soon be a chapter in history book...

it is very sad that they even try to martyr kasmiris in the name of protest...
