Kashmir is not an internal issue of India: UN Delegate

Because that's what the requirements for the plebiscite per UN resolution that Pakistan wanted.

from what i see a plebiscite will keep india-pakistan border tensions burning.

in indian-administered kashmir are some so-called separatists but who are really reactionaries, like asiya andrabi of the burqa group, dukhtaraan-e-millat... many pakistanis would be horrified if asiya andrabi becomes pakistani... i don't think @Zibago and @django would want mullah burqa of the 'lal masjid' to be replaced by even more extreme mullan burqa. :D

and there will be many separatists in indian-administered kashmir who reject pakistan too.

Only a stupid person will assume Pakistan to pull out and give free way to 7 lakh indian occupier terrorists.

As I said in other threads, Pakistan is in a better position and has upper hand. This is how,

1) If IOK stays as status quo, muslim population of india will be higher giving muslims more room to breath. Indian resources will keep getting drained and indian military will suffer loses in terms of lives and finances.

2) IOK becomes independence, one more muslim country in the world. Historically Kashmir has always been part of empires and govts of which pakistan had been so naturally an independent kashmir will be more closer to Pakistan. Gilgit Baltistan will never quit Pakistan. The people there want to be part of pakistan officially and demands for provincial status is very high there.

3) IOK becoming part of Pakistan, Pakistan will have more access to China. Acheive land that was historically always been part of Pakistan.

i am sick and tired of these two terms - iok and Azad Kashmir.

please remove the glasses of nationalism.

Lets do plebiscite as per Shimla agreement

1. first Pakistan will remove military from Kashmir
2.Then India will remove military from Kashmir
3. then plebiscite will happen.

India is waiting for first step.....and waiting...and waiting

Where did you get your information?

There is nothing like this in the Shimla Agreement.

The UN Resolution 47 sought
1. Pakistan to remove all belligerent elements from Kashmir;
2. India to remove such troops as were surplus to the requirement of keeping law and order, but not more;
3. The UN appointed Plebiscite Commission would then organise the Plebiscite, with the support of Indian administrative authorities.

Why do we always ignore that a portion of Kashmir, called Aksai Chin is still occupied by China ? Has Pakistan ever raised this so called referendum issue with them ?

Will you explain, genius, who will vote in Aksai Chin? Are you aware that it is a totally unpopulated wilderness, with not a single citizen who might want to vote?

Considering they gave part of Kashmir to China willingly already I doubt they care much about it.

Mod Edit: Watch the language.

Negotiations between the nations officially began on October 13, 1962 and resulted in an agreement being signed on 2 March 1963 by foreign ministers Chen Yi of China and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto of Pakistan.

The agreement resulted in China withdrawing from about 750 square miles of territory, and Pakistan withdrawing its claim to about 2,050 square miles of territory that, in practice, it neither controlled or administered.

It was actually China who withdrew from 750 sq miles territory that came in control of Pakistan which it had never controlled before. Pakistan only withdrew from claims of the area it never had controlled. In short Pakistan gained land not gave away like indian liers claim.

It doesn't matter who wants to vote or not to. When Pakistan calls for plebiscite to be conducted I believe that it should include Akshai Chin too no matter how small or big the population is there.

There is NO population. Why do you get involved without even a nodding acquaintance with the facts?

a commie solution would require eradicating religion entirely, are you ok with removing Islam (and whatever little is left of Hinduism and others) from Kashmir entirely ?

also, are you friends with any Kashmiris and have you ever been there yourself ?
