KARZAI OFFERS SECURITY TO TALIBAN LEADER MULLAH OMAR TO VISIT KABUL FOR PEACE TALKS.
is this the latest joke!
He needs votes.
Good observation, this reminds me of how the UK Conservatives when in power would reduce the national tax right before Christmas and the election year, come vote time they would remind the people "Remember we gave you that big tax break, so who love's ya baby! ... Very Nitty Gritty politics, but politics at its best!
Chachoo Karzai is also trying somthin similar but i would not trust his word as far as i can throw my old DMS, and thats not very far!
you seem to know a lot about uk politics, for someone whose location flag is Pakistan.
I could tell you, but then i would probably bore you!
Short of it is that I am a bit complicated, am 100% Pakistani Rawalpindi born and bred, but due to the Nature of the Work i do bunny hopping a lot between both countries UK and Pak, besides i got my degree from UK (London Metropolitan University to be exact)... Ahh good times...
Anyway if you would like specifics please PM me otherwise i hope this is sufficent...
thanks...oops...sorry, thats the one in east london,....
No need to apologies...
Your spot on, their main central campus was near Aldgate in East London although to separate themselves from the riff-raff associated with the east they use to consider themselves as part of the City of London "Which is where all the business hubs were apparently.
I however went to their campus in the North of London, on Holloway Road and use to share my flat with Japanese and an Italian, still have the old Alumni card knocking around somewhere if i can find it that is!
I remember it when it was the London Guildhall campus. actually went there on a protest a few years ago. They had to close teh campus for the day, because they thought radicals were going to invade it. I still remember the cold wet morning.
Haha! Cant really blame them after 7/7 and 27/7 So were u anti war or somthing else?
lol...this was a long time before the WOT. '95, i think. some muslim girl in the campus had certain things made of durex, filled with alcohol thrown at her by members of the rugby team. News spread, and we all gathered for a good old protest after jumah. The whole thing was hijacked by Hizbu Tahrir, and the authorities got scared, shut down the campus due to fears of violence. And we protested there for a few hours, made some speeches, and felt really good about ourselves.
That was a time when muslims were very active in uni and college campuses. i dont know how it is today.
