Yeah I have a lab. Though I am not all that fussy over it. She has the free run of the house and porch, but for petting she must turn to my neices or tenants.

I magically turn into a kid around dogs. Not that I act all grown up around people.

That had more to do with pragmatism, they can push over a grown adult in their enthusiasm. Do not want to have a hip fracture at this age already. LOL. So to curb that tendency, I made sure never to encourage her to jump on me when I come home. She dances around though.
