Source: Kader Siddiqui calls for national dialogueDHAKA: President of Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddiqui (Bir Uttam) on Saturday said that innocent people are being killed by police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) under the direction of the home minister.
Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, the then acting deputy commissioner of Mymensingh district in 1971 had organised Razakars and Albadars and killed many innocent Bangalees under the directions of the Pakistan government. Police and BGB are now killing innocent people under the directives of the home minister, the veteran freedom fighter alleged while addressing a press conference at Jatiya Press Club.
President of Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddiqui (Bir Uttam) on Saturday described the countrys present situation as catastrophic and called for national dialogue.
Two senior leadersDr Kamal Hossain and Dr A Q M Badruddoza Chowdhury of the country can take the initiative to arrange the national dialogue irrespective of party affiliation, the veteran freedom fighter said.
Among others, general secretary of Krishak Sramik Janata League Habibur Rahman, joint secretary Iqbal Siddiqui and organising secretary Shafiqul Islam Delwar attended the press conference.
