Unfortunately, Israel will use nuclear Jericho's on us if they decide. Their is no choice in the matter, even if we remain conventional, any serious conflict that causes immense damage to the Israeli Homefront will provoke a nuclear use by Israel. Are we supposed to accept this?

In my humble opinion, Iran should remain close to nuclear weapons, close enough to deter Israeli nuclear weapons usage, but never to obtain to prevent exactly what you have stated. Just close.

1.)Israel/Iran drama began in 1979, with lots of rhetoric exchanged, but real Iranian actions were seen in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait. Iran did Mecca stampede, attempted to ignite civil war in Iraq, did bombings in Kuwait
2.)US did war on Iraq and handed authority of Iraq to Iranian allies
3.)US and Iran cooperated in Afghanistan against Taliban, this is well documented. Iran sponsored northern alliance, Hazara warlords executed thousands of Taliban prisoners(never talked about here for some odd reason), and that is why revenge was taken against Iranian diplomats.
4.)US Coalition and Russia came to Syria/Iraq to aid Iranian militias and allies against Syrian rebels and ISIS.
5.) Iran 666 committed all kinds of horrific crimes against Syrian population, with aid of US Coalition and Russia, and is attempting to displace Sunni Muslims and replace them with Twelver Shias
6.) Iran and Israel never attacked each other nor had a single war. Iran and Israel both expanding, while playing up drama of so called 'armaggoden' war that they claim they are always on verge of and nothing ever happens.
