Junaid Jamsheed being charged with Blasphemy !!!!

Or for once challenge the bloody law! To show people the law is a big bag of rubbish to apologize to the Mullahs for making fun of them!
there is no fault with the Law itself, the fault lies with the implementation

there is no fault with the Law itself, the fault lies with the implementation
Well what is the law? Death for Blasphemy? That is not even in shariah....maybe in the bible yes but not in the Quran...

The Quran clearly states there are those who believe then disbelieve, then believe again, then disbelieve again. This proves death for apostasy simply did not exist, because if it did, it would be impossible to believe again after unbelief, as they would have been put to death after the first unbelief:

Surely (as for) those who believe then disbelieve, again believe and again disbelieve, then increase in disbelief, God will not forgive them nor guide them in the (right) path. [4:137]

This is further proven by the following verse:

How can God guide a people who have rejected after believing, and they witnessed that the messenger is true, and the clarity had come to them? God does not guide the wicked people. [3:86]

The Quran states, in no uncertain terms, that there is no compulsion in religion:

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in God has grasped the most sure hand-hold, that never breaks. And God is Hearing, Knowing. [2:256]

The Quran states that God could have made all those on earth believe, thus asks who is man to enforce such a thing if God did not:

And if your Lord had pleased, surely all those who are in the earth would have believed, all of them; will you then force men till they become believers? [10:99]

The Quran states there were those who believed part of the time, then disbelieved part of the time in order to confuse and sow discord amongst the believers of the time. If death for apostasy existed, no sane minded person would attempt to do this as they would be killed the very first time they tried it:

A section of the People of the Book say: "Believe in the morning what is revealed to the believers, but reject it at the end of the day; perchance they may (themselves) Turn back. [3:72]

Please also see the clear example set out in 4:88-91, in which the believers are told to offer peace with those who became hypocrites/apostates (i.e. were Muslim in name only but did not follow through with action during hostilities/fighting in this case) if they also offer peace.

To conclude, it is clear that 'death for apostasy' does not exist in The Quran. People are free to believe and live their lives accordingly or not. If a community or system or any structure deprives its members of this basic freedom, it will produce hypocrites and suppressed people who have no strength of belief or goals to work for and will likely result in a weak system or community. Freedom of belief is the air that healthy and just communities breathe.

Khala there are many punishments which are taken from the older religions of Christianity or Judaism which are not present in the Quran.

Lets just kill him by burning, a headshot or well an axe, during his remand then burn his house and a couple other ones of his closest relatives or perhaps the area he lives in and prove that in Pakistan, at least the religious law is without discrimination and applies equally to everyone. What exact fault was that of those who were never given the chance to repent or apologize? What had the people who were merely blamed for blasphemy without any proof, done to deserve their brutal and inhumane ends?
I dont understand when will we change? If the punishment is thrown on this young man then the nation will be silent forever and any bearded buffoon can misuse it again and again with pride that JJ got it!!

Why not we find a way around this mental problem! I have always voiced out against this crappy law! It isnt even in the Shariah!

Sure Shariah says the WORST punishment is capital punishment for the worst crime! But no where does it single out Blasphemy! In MY OPINION if rapists are not given any punishment then whoever sides this law should just bury himself from shame!

Rape is a worse punishment and guess what our courts dont have time for those cases! AND So far it seems that we have really horny women in Pakistan because ONLY women seem to get soiled and not a single MARD is accused or trialed or even has been beheaded!

Sometimes one has to wonder where our priorities are!

To hang till death as the law says! No apologies or forgiveness or involvement of doctrine of necessity, JJ didn't do anyone a favor by coming to religion, he has enraged millions of Muslims and just like all the non-Muslims blasphemers in the country, deserves to be treated the same. Otherwise, raise all the previous people who were sentenced to death by the state, from the dead and reverse the mistake. So, since a pure Muslim is in trouble with the very same law that is used to oppress minorities, you will find a Mullah interpretation and twisted arguments of greater control of religion by the state, in this case? Hypocrites all of you!

@Akheilos He isn't alone, the frailty of the opposite sex, happens to be a hot topic amongst hyper religious Muslims.
No not hypocrites but I hope it is a wake up call as to HOW BAD THE SITUATION HAS REACHED!

Khala there are many punishments which are taken from the older religions of Christianity or Judaism which are not present in the Quran.
Yes, and continuing them is not doing anyone a favour!

Islam came for a reason....it came with a better solution....why are we still holding onto the past and not going for the "better" is beyond me?

It is quite instructive to see such 13th century issues dominating the discourse in a country trying to make it to the 21st century. Instructive, and horrifying at the same time. :D

I think its warning from Allah, that his tongue slipped and he is getting humiliated, a while ago he was praising abomination like MQM.

Yes, God made me do that through a little voice in my head, the most convincing of all religiuos excuses mixed with personal discontents? I watched it though, it wasn't a tongue slip, clear and detailed statements regarding the weakness of the female counterparts explained through the logic of "hey even the Prophet's mother isn't exempt", who are the ordinary women? Did God also deliver the warnings from all the Non Muslims tongues too who were charged with blasphemy or he made this person an exceptional case? Or somehow God took into account, your political disagreements with other political parties? :)

This isn't the time to change, its time to follow the law. We can change after this case has been settled. If the law was to be modified or repealed, that should have been done before this, now that would be surpreme hypocrisy of the Pakistanis and usage of doctrine of necessity to forgive JJ when no such provisions were ever provided to the minorities. The evidence of blasphemy, in this case, unlike others, is clear and complete.

Nah, of course not. That is just how a pure Muslim @Samandri is making excuses on behalf of a blasphemer who knew better.

Not really, like I said I hope its a wake up call as to how loose this particular law has become!

Why so much hatred for a single man?!

The country never noticed the law how it was being used! I hope whatever the outcome....the stupid Mullahs who are wielding it like a sword on every other person gets thrown under the bus and die by the very same law!

Because wanting something bad on your Muslim brother in my eyes is equally a BLASPHEMY!

No one needs to see it through such narrow eyes...If he apologized that is good enough but My anger is towards the bastards saying we dont accept...Who made the universal acceptor of pardons? Is he the priest style: by the power bestowed in me I now pardon you? Well than the bastard needs to join a Catholic church not Islam!

There is no such thing as no one can do something....Everyone is a part of a community everyone has a chance to do something it all depends on how much you are willing to do ...

HOWEVER, in Pakistan the juridical system sucks big time that even people who wish to help either "disappear" or get murdered (and even the murder case file disappears)

what about your Muslim sister? YOU ANTI FEMINIST KHALA
Please dont troll!

No that isn't good enough, because that hasn't been good enough for the rest of the convicts, earlier. Why should we make an exception, in the first place? Because he's a Muslim, thats why?

No Sir, because only Mullahs want to have the power to declare who is a blasphemer and who is not, while they themselves are exempt.

Because he's a blasphemer and like all others before him, we wish the law to take its due course and as per the punishment, hang him to death. The country should have noticed when the law was misused in Lahore and recently in a small town of Punjab, this is the time to act fair. Rectifications can come later.

No Sir, because only Mullahs want to have the power to declare who is a blasphemer and who is not, while they themselves are exempt.

In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, all who can be convicted of the said law are either the minorities or the deviant sects, the rest are all fine and dandy doing the same and never getting the punishment for it. What joke of a country, this is!
