Bingo! As long as Syria's maniac remains in power, our allies must ensure that a mass-murderer like Assad has to be kept in check, he's given himself a death sentence already, no worries.

Now that I read this, I wonder if Turkey and other Arab states such as Jordan have separate contingency plans to deal with Syria if no help from the West comes.

@BLACKEAGLE , is the Syrian military a threat to Jordan at all? It's been my impression that the Jordanian army is more modern but I don't know how the size difference would play out.

Bro, your question should be " Is Jordan, or Turkey believes that Assad is a rational player? " His chemical arsenal makes me sleepless, he's a rat, but still he DOES pose a threat two both States involved.

There is no army left in Syria, only militias, the former SAA has been completely broken, by mass defection of it's personal and professionals, losing vast areas and military positions, and thousands of destroyed/seized equipment and tens of thousands of catualties. Jordanian army is mainly equipped and trained to defend Jordanian territories from a strong army like Israel, so a broken army like the SAA would be crushed.

The only threat Bashar thugs can pose on Jordan is their Chemical weapon, and Jordan prepared well for this possibility by deploying additional Patriot Pac-3 batteries, getting counter measure warfare training and equipment.

Here is a drill of Jordanian army was conducted as a strong message to Bashar thugs after their indirect threat of attacking Jordan with Russian-made Ballistic missiles Iskandar-E upon Jordan decison to deploy Patriot Pac-3 batteries:

This drill stimulates a war with the formerly called SAA including the possibility of using Chemical attack:

If he uses his chemical weapons, we will evaporate his regime and the stronghold he's counting on. :)

That's good to hear. Why then would it be considered so daunting for Arab countries to intervene in Syria?

Whenever the idea of Arab intervention comes up, it seems like everyone claims the Syrian military is still intact. Lol.

It's so complicated, and for many reasons, you can't act on your own when it comes to direct attack on a country like Syria unless you were attacked. Bashar haven't given us a good reason to attack his although we have been arming and training the FSA for a while.

True. Plus Jordan probably doesn't have the firepower for such a large scaled operation probably, am I right? More of a defensive force.

Mate if that's the case. We would have annexed many countries around us. You'll need UN's approval for a direct intervention or you'll be the bad guy in-according to International laws.

We can conduct surgical attacks on all of his positions and the FSA can continue the job.

The attack would be conducted by using F-16, HIMARS, WM-120 MLRS, M109A2, M110A2 and special forces.

Then @Yzd Khalifa can *screw* up Assad from the air and the rest of the Arab League can contribute to land operations.

Sounds like a plan to me. We'll watch from up north and root you guys on! :bounce:

Mate, until now, i didn't do a research on Jordan. As i thought Jordan was one of the Oil-Rich Arab countries and have decent industries like KSA.

Now I have looked to wiki.

Popolation: 6 mil.
GDP: $30 Bil
GDP/Capita : $4600

The Jordanian economy is beset by insufficient supplies of water, oil, and other natural resources. Other challenges include high budget deficit, high outstanding public debt, high levels of poverty and unemployment. Jordan has few natural resources and a small industrial base.Jordan suffers from a brain drain of its most talented workers.

Mate this is not looking good. Now another question crossed my mind.... No offence, but are you trying to make a cat look like lion ???

Sinan, Jordan may not be a rich country but they have some relatively advanced weaponry and get a good amount of support from friendly countries like Saudi Arabia that keeps them afloat.

Also, Jordan is strained so much because (@BLACKEAGLE knows this better probably) a decent amount of their population is refugees, former and present, from Palestine. Imagine 30% of our population being Syrian refugees and that they stay forever.

I think the point he's making is Jordan might not be a lion but Syria has fallen from the Syria we knew and they're pretty fragile.

I've never said we are a rich country, it's an upper middle class country. But if you are going to pick the aforementioned problems and make us like we are struggling, then that's not true at all. I can pick the same for Turkey. As for unemployment, it's around 11% noting that we have 1 million foreign workers, and as for poverty, poor people get subsidy, free housing, free education and health care. And no they not high level, just like any upper middle class country.
