It looks a lot like the Mig-AT. Also this is a technology JAI (Jordan Aerospace Industry) bought from two American brothers so they would make their own aircraft. and as we all know a Trainer jet is the first step to a fighter jet and we have seen that with many countries. If an Arabic country is going to be self sufficient regarding Military hardware first. It has got to be Jordan.

Is it for training Air force pilots? Looks more like some kind of luxury private aircraft tailor made for some rich Arab prince.

I am really running out of sarcastic jokes for the likes of you. But I will answer you with no it is a trainer aircraft. not for an arab prince I assure you.

The back seat has no controls ? ... it does ... no instruments though

All Jordan pilots either come from the royal family or from one of those elite families. Its rather obvious when you start seeing "leather trimmed interiors" on a jet trainer....:rofl:

Its probably for marketing/air show. Don't forget its an aircraft we are talking about. Spending couple of hundred dollars on leather trim is peanuts if you look at the price of an aircraft.

========================================

Looks like its the American company who came up with the leather trim.

Give credit where its due, you sounded very patronizing there.

It still doesn't change the fact that most pilots in their airforce are royals.

Yes I read it was those two brothers that sold this to JAI.

It still doesn't change the fact that most of their aircraft are the best pilots they have to offer. And leave your stereotyping BS at the door please.

There are probably some royals in the air force, but not all. And if they are qualified and trained enough to fly the planes, doesn't really matter if they are royals or not.
