Joint family system?

Well I was thinking about joint family system and wanted to know the opinion of others. What do you think about Joint family system? is it good, bad, evil of the society, old traditions or still a very good and peaceful way to live together with the family.

By joint family I mean usually uncles, brothers or their children's all living in the same house (and fighting every second day)

How many of you are living under the joint family system? I hope my question makes sense

family institution in one of the major in society, joint family has its own benefits and disadvantages, the biggest disadvantage is personal space, and individual's being influenced, other than that its a good choice, after all it all depends what you make out of it...
As per Islamic view, nuclear family is suggested.

Me and my frnds had long debate on this topic. The extract is that both the system is having its own profit and loss. Once I read a very good article regarding Economy and Social system during recession in US. Author notified that family system in China and India make and will further make Economy strong.

Joint family system leads to family skirmishes and endless cycles of manipulation and feuds like those shown on NDTV , ZTV serials.
Also Islamicaly speaking, every person has been given freedom to live their own way.

I am against joint family system as I have only seen it to fail, cause rift and divide families.

I would be boiling if I was told that I had to seek approvals from uncle, aunt, elder cousins, etc etc..that's just ridiculous.

A very bad personal experience and of everyone that i know.

Joint Family system is ABSOLUTELY FAILED SYSTEM and if still you wanna tread this road than make sure that it is limited to parents.

I don't recommend Joint Family System. It is absolutely ridiculous, they travelled together, they ate together, they washroom together, they sleep same bed, they must shopping together, they goes to Mosques together and finally they make decisions for you and your future wife. I have seen them from retarded friend who refused to live away from them if job offer in far distances.

If you religiously believe in Joint Family, it is up to you.

ab konsi koi ker raha hai care yaar .some ppl don't need care from others .and what is garrunty if i invest my millions on my faimly (wife+kids ) they will take care of me in old age? may be they kick me then i lose both money and care .but in this case i am alone at least i have money .lolz money (the real GOD )will take care every thing .
