Johns Hopkins Scientist Reveals Shocking Report on Flu Vaccines

An example of consumer culture and nothing else.

Here everything is consumerism. Even taking drugs and vitamins. Remember that pharmaceutical companies are major financiers of election campaign. So they get the opportunity to force their drugs on people. And people here are just consumers. Slaves of corporations and banks.

This is corruption at another level.

Sir, the topic is itself a troll thread, made with malafide intentions. We need to support vaccination, not fall prey to bizarre conspiracy theories. Our children deserve better than to be victims to crap like this.

I trust I make my point of view clear. To satisfy you, I am bowing out of this thread. Please let the pseduo-science flow. :D

I trust you would read this before you bow out.

Fate of polio vaccination does not rest upon this thread, nor upon the opinions of people with whom you happen to disagree. I would venture to say that the people concerned have no such intentions. I myself have not much faith in flu vaccine (and flu vaccine only).

When is it that you need vaccine? Tell me the basics

An oncologist? Seriously? You want to compare an oncologist with one whose job runs on research on policies

Obviously because he is far smarter than the policy troll . You can look at the profiles of others who criticize him as well .

Regarding when i need vaccine . I don't . My body fights diseases :P . I am redneck anti-Vac Indian extremist .

I guess he didn't get his yearly 'paid vacation for family to Hawaii' pay check from the big Pharma.

Influenza vaccines are not that effective, that is a proven. It is because Polio virus and Influenza virus infect in very different ways.

How does the body develops its own Immunization if it depends on these vaccines ? Just a small question

And here I thought you were hard arse about people having knowledge in a certain field...Do you know what epidemiologist are paid to do right? And I am also sure you are aware of Johns Hopkins....

Epidemiology is the science that studies the patterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions in defined populations. It is the cornerstone of public health, and informs policy decisions and evidence-based practice by identifying risk factors for disease and targets for preventive healthcare. Epidemiologists help with study design, collection, and statistical analysis of data, and interpretation and dissemination of results (including peer review and occasional systematic review).

So these EPIDEMIOLOGISTS actually report to the policy troll :p:

I will still take my chances with polio . Thanks .

vaccines are often the real organisms attenuated or proteins/sugar molecules(usually from surface) minus the whole organism which sensitise the body to develop immunity.. :enjoy: In ancient time ,people actually suffered from illness to develop immunity and depending upon virulence of disease most usually die ..

read the wiki page on Edward Jenner and Louis Pasteur

the cure for flu/common cold is overdose of vitamin C.
Your body immunity will remove the cold unless its a case of variant flu like swine flu and avian flu then flu vaccine shots are helpful rest no need to take vaccines for common cold.

@Syed.Ali.Haider

Much disappointed. Why the trolling?
As if this was for the first time. Certain posters suffer with a syndrome which makes them believe that they are 'Master' of all trades whereas they are not even 'Jack' of any. These posters are better left alone for them to read and praise their own posts. A 'self-thank' button may help with symptoms I guess.

Flu vaccine is a prophylactic vaccine that is recommended to certain groups susceptible to influenza infection. Unlike polio vaccine, vaccination against influenza cant be (and never intended to) used to eradicate the disease.

In order to keep the immune system relevant to the threats, it is not a bad idea to get exposed to virulent strains from time to time. Being a RNA virus, the influenza virus mutates fast and therefore vaccines need to be modified every season. This appears not to be sustainable as in doing so, we are pressurizing the virus to mutate at faster rates. This may lead to the emergence of highly mutated and highly virulent virus, which may wreak havoc long before an effective treatment was made available.

Discussing vaccine-related dangers cant be equated with anti-vaccine drive. Vaccines have their fair place in preventing certain diseases from happening but vaccine are not silver bullets either, nor are they as safe as many wist to believe.

Flu is a debilitating disease, makes one to stay at home both because of the symptoms, and potential spread. Employers don't want the employees to get sick and take leaves, hence push their employers to take flu shots. In doing so, they certainly are protecting their interests while paving way for the emergence of highly virulent influenza strains.
