That is a very good question. Hussain haqqani repeatedly states that he has Pakistan's best interest at heart yet he is having lunch ( if it was a meet one could say that you get into an awkward position and say hello) but an invited lunch with a person that openly supports the dismemberment of Pakistan and racially abuses Pakistanis repeatedly going to well beyond obsessive hatred and openly incited religious hatred in india ( he supposedly admires) and repeatedly spreads fake news. One would excuse from eating lunch with a person like that who if they had Pakistan's best interest at heart.

And the Haqqani network is behind the anti state journalist network of taha bourne, lul bukhari etc
You see where it all connects?
It is our duty to call these elements out at every chance we get

For them supporting such brown sahabs is part of their foreign policy be it the hacks like Ensaf Hedri or self hating India worshipers like Tarik Phatu

The network is useless. You cannot affect the thinking of the populace if you are detached from them. This is why I called the "liberal" meet in US as useless since most names have little to no outreach to the public.

Hussain haqqani would have sent a stronger message if he had refused or excused himself from having lunch with this guy on the basis that despite my ideological differences with Pakistan I donot wish ill upon the pakistani people nor support its dismemberment. That would have gotten him a few hits but alas you don't do this unless you respect or agree with somebody's views. So much for "he is the true loyal patriot"

The very fact that this "network" elicits such strong reactions is one indication that it may not be as useless as might be portrayed. This is the same mentality that declares US mainstream media biased and useless but then also overreacts to every word said or written.

As always, the only effective way to counter such points of view is to develop a better narrative.

A network that looks to advance an ideology will always be placed upon a benchmark capability it holds in its ability to reach the general populace of the country where they are willing to bring that change. How would a network basing itself on liberal ideologies be able to fulfill its goals of creating and expanding a new ideology when it has absolutely no program set aside to reach the general population.

Their lack of any conscious effort to expand this program even on a minimal scale or to move forward what they seek to implement makes me brand them as such... Of course I could be wrong and maybe their outreach program (unknown to me) will change the very thinking of the nation to their line of thinking.

Oh by all means ...... Which is why I stated that if you are going to portray yourself as having best interest at heart of a country and it's people then maybe having lunch with a person that is so vehemently against both is not a wise idea for your image within that country...

furthermore a counter to their narrative would be required when they would gain a tract with the general populace deserving a counter... However I go agree with this simple fact that to beat narrative you need to counter it with a better narrative or present your narrative as a better narrative. Simple.

Good points indeed, but please keep in mind that in the present day and age, any outreach (and its opposing counterpart too) has many avenues available to it with a wide and nearly universal audience. I would say, out of an abundance of caution, that the viable counter narrative to these individuals be created and promoted more effectively because I can tell you that what they are saying on message is have an effect gradually where it counts.
