Jinnah Class Revealed

GWS cannot carry longer ranged missiles, it is literally limited to camm-er
Do not think it would be CAM-ER but some thing under development. It is specifically being designed hence locally manufactured missiles are a higher possibility.

GWS is a system designed with certain missiles in mind. Once again, the largest missile that can fit in it is CAMM-ER.

You have to understand this is still 6 long years away. CAMM-ER is already an option but there are others too so what exactly is going to materialize will be seen later but what can be said is the area has been designed keeping in view some thing local too.

Jinnah Class should be the TF 2000 Class destroyer, with emphasis on making it a Multi Role Destroyer

The radar should be the CAFRAD radar

Why does it need to be? What air threat is it that will require PN ships to be operation thounsands of miles away?

The picture you posted and the picture in the tweet are two different ship designs.

In first picture we have 16 VLS and 8 cells for cruise missiles.
In the second picture we have 16 VLS but in different alignment and have 6 cells for cruise missiles.

I thought our Jinnah will have 32 VLS and Milgem will have 16. Things are confusing. Can someone explain these things to us naive's ?
The area where the VLS is fitted , has room for lots more.
This is a model of the structure, not the exact configuration.

Ship has deeper VLS than other PN ships . Plus lots of room around the 16 VLS for more VLS or probably other weapons.

Since the VLS is elevated like on the Russian frigates, I’d still keep hope.
You know, they literally could've thrown any other VLS at the scale model. They could've made one up and say it'll be quad-packable or whatever. The fact that they're showing this model with the GWS VLS (same as the Babur-class corvette) tells me that this frigate could show up a lot sooner than we think -- 2025-2026.

Bro, I’m telling you, regardless of what is ready down the line, GWS is a system designed with a missile in mind, it is not a good solution if you’re wanting to develop your own missiles. This is why nations go with other systems.

It’s not really unrealistic to expect that, it just looks like Babur with a new superstructure.

Maybe all Jinnah class ships will not be the same. There could be upgraded models after the first batch.
Flight II / Flight IA …

Tbh we’re looking in to this too deep, look at Babur vs models of pn milgem.
