KG800 self defense jamming pod

The KG800 airborne electronic warfare system is carried by combat planes to disrupt enemy airborne fire control radars and SAM search and fire-control/illumination radars. It also increases the combat plane's survivability against AESA threats that are launched against the plane (probably meaning AESA seekers on missiles)"

Special Points:

- Broad jamming spectrum (radar bands)
- High ERP (effective radiated power)
- Advanced Jamming Technologies
- Effective/Useful (against) multiple threats
- Fast response time
- Modularity
- High reliability
In fact, you can get nothing from the introduction...

Maybe IAF knows its performance... Just kidding:-)

Considering that the KG300G was never really widely deployed by PLAAF, and was only seen on J8s in limited numbers, the RKL700A is seen on almost every single fighter/ bomber in PLAAF/PLAN. To me this suggests that this ecm pod has overcome known shortages and has become the SPJ of choice in China.

PAF need to develop a variant of a JF-17
like
Boeing EA-18G Growler

That's a camera pod ... actually I don't know how often this was already noted.

Its not a camera pod. its a screenshot from a documentary aired on Geo Tv few years back. The pods had no glass windows at the front. For some reason, the documentary is nowhere to be found anymore.

very good development

we are entering EW age also

suppressing enemy radars and jamming etc is all part and parcel of a modern Air Force

no doubt JF17 Block III with AESA can knock down AWACS and tankers at range
