Tejas is no doubt delayed project, but Now Tejas is little bit superior than jf17 block II , Reason is 8 Vs 7 hardpoints, Mix of Israel, U.S.A , Russian technology. While jf17 is mature platform, engaged in combat missions against taliban in difficult terrain areas. Both are open structure , but India enjoys mix of Israel, U.S.A, French , russian tech, we don't have such type of luxury & options. Tejas have little edge over Jf17 for above reasons i mentioned w.r.t specifications. For price to specification ratio jf17 beats tejas .

What's the point in having higher "specifications" when you are unable to fly it yet? Forget about actual combat (dogfights, precision ground attack, naval role etc.)
