may be JF-17 which would be more oriented for attack/strike role; PAF still need medium weight platform to take the role of strike platform.

Can't disagree since the document doesn't say much. What's not being written by official; how come someone mention openly like Incase the Forum.

Just a spinner; AZM project says Twin Engine and it's phase 1 design was completed. AZM, a program and not a platform. Thunder is a platform and can evolve under AZM given the experience and knowledge from. It can be anything in the end.

JF-17 has been and will surely remain a tech test for NGF.

Can't we just approach PAC or MoDP to clarify this confusion regarding design Improvement of JF-17? I think final deliveries of Bravo were made only in Dec. 2020 ("...have been developed") just before Block III production commenced.

Cant be type error in this level to document.. apparently..

This can be first step of AZM to convert Jf17 to twin engine jet with 4.5 + capabilities (then give some other name later on i.e jf18 etc)

And for 5th generation PAC can collaborate with TAI for other jet under AZM umbrella

After F35 expensive maintenance usa have look for better 4.5 jet replacement of F16 can be possibly F36 program.

So combo of medium weight twin engine(twin jft 17) , lightweight single engine jf17 and heavy weight class 5th gen can work very well for PAF future years to come

Most certainly a typo esp she nce the timeline fits the delivery of B versions. If we have learned anything from the typos and spelling mistakes in materials from defense expos, this is not a huge departure

On a serious note, this can be very interesting. More power to weight ratio, more hard points. And JF will actually have no limitations left that were due to its small size and limited power ! Lets see what happens! It is rather too good to be true for me as of now.

You seem To have missed the tweet?? There is no „will have or will be“, it all was a typo, nothing more. As such don‘t waste your time on impossible dreams and better stick your hopes to the soon to arrive J-10C.
