Interesting tail art on this JF-17.

Isn't the one being overhauled in China while Pakistan did so for another air frame, revealed at once in a ceremony. However, can't recognize the tail art much. Any guess?

Are we sure that's a tail art? China has recently acquired a habit of covering up parts of military items intended to be presented at ceremonies with big red ribbons and sheets.

Pakistan rolls-out first locally overhauled JF-17 Fighter Jet

One side is Chinese red and the other is Pakistani green.

This is an excellent question; what is the limitation?
it's not a novel idea, there are several fighters with fuselage AAM/BVRs

certainly PAF isn't idiot enough to think 2 are enough given, Boeing just introduced its f15 with 16 AAM, su 30 can carry more then 8, rafale will carry far more

dual racks on hardpoint are fine, but aerodynamic compromise will be more than center hardpoint. besides, seems we are leaving it empty for most of the time

you can use the wing hardpoints and fuel at the center, but that would greatly compromise the range of the jf-17 since we are talking about reduction of 1400 liters of fuel in that configuration

sso why nobody thought about it? and what can be the limitation in block III, is it hardware or is it software?
certainly not space..for two maybe (but probably not) but for one, no there is enough space. either way, this would be a better configuration aerodynamic wise (for layman person)

.
same is true about the 8th pod point, why did PAF not introduced it in block 1-2, or did they think pods are not needed at all?

I mean common everyone knows you need a pod for a variety of reasons, jamming, laser guidance..even Tejas got a pod where block 3 is bringing it now
