JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

The ship doesn't have a radar or any jamming equipment installed. Any idea about the potential sensor suite to be installed alongside the armament?

May be they would be installed later in Pakistan

Are u talking about these Damen corvettes or our all ships including Milgems and Type 054As?

This threat is only about damen ships the pn version heli deck is different than model 1900 at deman website and may not be meant for 10-12 Tons medium heli but lighter 4–6 tons class z-9 type heli as there is another area on the rear which cuts the deck

Come on guys, if you are serious with the names of the Ships belonging to Pakistan then there are plenty of options such PNS Indus, PNS Gasherbrum, PNS Khyber, PNS Tirich Mir, PNS Broadpeak, PNS Derawar, and so on.

I think this is a fallacy that is developing amongst Pakistanis. Islamic History is our history. The Prophet and his Sahabah belong to us as much as they belong to the arabs. He said as much in various hadith. The battle of Yarmook was a very important turning point for the Rashidoon Caliphate and marked the first major expansion since the death of the Holy Prophet. Consider if the Muslims lost. We from the subcontinent may have never become Muslim.

I am perfectly fine with Pakistan using names from Islamic History for its purposes. I wonder how many of you with object if the name given was PNS Abu Bakr, or PNS Ali bin Abi Talib? Probably none. Yarmook was the battle which led to the conquest of Shaam and the Levant. It was the stage for what became one of the greatest empires in history (our history). The Arabs dont want that history to belong to anyone else. That is how they have dominated the Muslim world for the last 30 years.

Ssm launcher stand already visible so is front gun and ciws on one side not sure about the other side

Also the heli deck is not all the way and smaller so looks like light heli plus hanger , there is also smaller hanger for Uav next to main hanger ??

Step down from heli deck not sure what at the rear and platform on the roof of main command center for AK-630 type ?? Or some other sensor ?

I think the front gun will end up being an 30mm Aselsan SMASH with possible AK630 above the bridge. There is a circular station behind the right stack which I suspect will be a UAV retrieval arm. There is room for ssm, not sure if there is room for 4 or 8 (my suspicion is 4). What i would love to see is the Tor M2KM lashed to the deck above the hangar. The chinese also have a variant of Tor called HQ17 which may be able to be modified to similar equivalent of the Tor m2km

What kind sensor suite is expected, any aesa radar and others goodies from Jinnah class

Can teu be config to add anti sub capabilities?

Any chance of having anti air missile like fn3000?

So looks like SMASH as main gun and Type 1130 CIWS in rear starboard side (i think that location is a bit odd as protection of the fron half of the ship will be limited by the stacks just in front of the ciws). It appears that their may be a FL-3000N on top of the bridge (or maybe another sensor). And now we know there will likely be 8 C-802A aboard. With 2 RHIB, Lrad, a helicopter, UAV and a stealthy design, all and all a very capable looking little ship with $50M spent on hull itself and likely another $30M or so to arm in (+/- $10M). Lilely spending $70-$90M/ship is really well done.
