No need for it. A full FBW will require a partial redesign which while not that expensive would need to be justified. Since the PAF is happy with the current configuration and no customer has asked for it there is no need to do it.

Hi,
The only reason the BVR is carried on wing tip is that you already know that it will be launched first---. You are pretty much in a straight flight----has a lock and wing tip bvr will be launched first--basically not hindering in the maneuverability of the aircraft.
In this mode the aircraft is setup for total BVR combat----it will launch its load and turn away from combat.
In this mode----the F 16 can carry 6 BVR missiles and that is a good load.
