One last thing to mention is that metallurgy is a very established and well-understood discipline. Composites in critical structural applications are not as safe as metal alloys. Despite their favorable Strength / mass ratio, composites have certain limitations that must be kept in mind.

Yeah, composites are much harder to repair, and even harder to spot delamination, or any other fault.
It fails without giving any warning, unless NDT is performed beforehand.

There was an aircraft called Starship by Beechcraft. It was made primarily with composites. One of the reason it failed was because of maintenance. They didn't know how to repair skin damages at that time.

Why PAF high officials not going for AESA radars on JF-17 thunder. How much cost will increase, if Pakistan deploy AESA radar on JF-17 thunder? Do we have powerful engine on it? Additionally going off the topic, are there any sanctions to buy AESA radars from western countries too?
