As per many Pakdef members

the next 50 are donated by china

and it will have everything from china and most of work would also be done in china

we will get brand new ready made JF-17 2.

and what will the people at Kamra do ---twiddle their thumbs! just dosnt make logical sense.
20 a/c will be manufactured/assembled at Kamra - china will supply CKD kits.

all the work will be done at Kamra - its the most cost-efficient way to do things.

So current rate of JF-17 ac per year is 20, if not kindly tell...

Please quote such claims.
The next 50 are being built here.. parts may come from China.. but the assembly line is here.

They are talking about deliveries starting in July. What is not clear that where these 50 will be produced. Bus since these 50 are donated by China and that they will have Chinese produced avionics said to be more advanced than the one produced in Pakistan and integrated in Pakistan produced Thunder, I will assume that they will be assembled in China. We may really see 50 BLK-2 I assume. We will find out for sure starting July.

I think its better we only beleive in the official news by PAF on block II(IFR,NEW ECM/DATA avionics)

what i heard that PAF will gradually increase the production capacity

as we have already heard that on 21 april 2010 avionics production was started at KARF and than klj-7 in late 2010.
we already manufactured 80% of JFT In pak(avionics+radar+HUD+Airframe)
than why do we need china to supply us the ready made kits

He has assumed that.. he too is not sure.
Im not sure if donation means free or on the usual grant/loan.
They will be donated in the sense that the parts and electronics come from China and are assembled here.
There is NO other assembly line for the JF-17 other than the one in Pakistan.
By assembly line, one means some thing like this.
F-16_01.jpg

Where aircraft are built in a pipeline with each airframe in a different stage.

Chengdu has the ability to assemble one aircraft at a time on a single jig.

Exactly!
The PAF will not state what is not there.
There are improvements in the second batch but nothing of the drastic nature that is being rumored.

So current rate of JF-17 ac per year is 20, if not kindly tell...

the current line is 16-17 JFT per year

42 JFT in 30 months(30th june 2009 to dec 2011)

might increase to 24 in future

gradual increase from 15 to 20 to 25 a/c as efficiencies increase. by 2014-15, 83% of the components will be locally manufactured / assembled. the engine will continue to be delivered by China through Russia.

i agree with you
Pakistan economy still facing crisis
still govt no plan for economy
in this situation how we can compete other nations
still our defense budget is low even Singapore who's budget is 12 billion us $

please clarify me if i m wrong
i read in some where that jf-17 thunderblock-2 will like euro typhoon

You have read absolutely wrong.. it will be NOWHERE near the EF.
The closest analogy would be somewhere between a F-16 block 40 and a F-16 block 52

But i thought it would be somewhere between F-52 and F-16 60 .:undecided:

Still these are estimates and assumptions, Everything will gets clear after Block 2's introduction.. Until then I will take your words.

Yes.. or more appropiately.. guesstimates based on what one hears.
Do not expect too much out of Batch-2.. but do not keep low expectations either.
Since what may seem like not much on the surface may be a lot more in terms of electronics and extra lines of code.

NO

The KLJ-7 has a performance rating someplace between the APG-68 in A2A and APG-66 in A2G.
Slight changes in ECM which can be compared to the alq-131 that the PAF has used before.
