The endorsement of PAF would have carried more weight if it wasnt the manufacturer as well.
Hi,
That is a very important consideration---. People in the industry cannot comprehend that how could this happen---pakistan that has no experience in building an aircraft---and china---whose claim of fame was the F7's and J8's---how were they able to pull this rabbit out of the hat.
People expect that the first time endeavors are failures or have major flaws----and to relate to pakistan for making something that could compete with the european aircraft of the similar scale---that was tough to swallow.
As a potent air force---the paf knew what it had---where it failed was to transfer that information to the interested parties in a manner those parties wanted to hear about it---but that is only in our anticipation that it may have happened that way---.
Smaller nation of this world also bear a lots of pressure from the larger nations on what they can get---and the established nations will try their best for the business to fail.
Lastly but not least---paf did more damage to this aircraft when they made the F16 a matter of life and death for pakistan---put that aircraft on a pedestal and and brought the JF17 down. That was bad bad decision making.
There is one thing for sure---if you make a capable machine---and if you ca endure the hardships of time---you will ultimately find buyers for it---because a good product cannot be held down.
So---what the Paf has to do is to speed up the production and fill in its demand at a fast pace---put the right package in it and there will be buyers lined up.
Thats going to be expensive, but then, the bird has to evolve.
Hi,
Expensive is a relative term---what do you think the number would be---?
