Haven't seen any examples of buddy refueling in PAF ?PAF can always opt to look into buddy refueling pods, if not mistaken PLAAN Flying Sharks do have that capability same as the USN's F-18s. A Single JF-17 with 3 odd fuel tanks taking off in formation flight could easily top off 4 odd JF-17s and return to base to refuel and be ready to go to refuel again.
PS: M-III/V are way to old but could use F-7s to perform the same task but fewer number of platforms refueled.
Panjnad is another name for Chinese KG-600 SPJ pod. Maybe its KG-700 or KG-800.Much awaited feature in Thunder was its chin hardpoint. This hardpoint enables this jets to easily accomodate the ECM / ISR payloads without compromising its other munition and fuel stores. Punjnud ECM pod provides escort jamming capability alongside its already integrated SPJ.

You forgotten the Feb 27 clash already?PAF is not going to any kind of war with anyone anymore .. why to spend so many resources on these toys
Having space for and actually having it installed are 2 different things. There are some who said first 14 fighters came with KLJ-7V2 Whereas 15 onwards would come with aesa and the other 14 would be refit. Others said that is BS. ALL im saying is exteriorly i have seen any change in the coneBlk 3 front nose, space for Aesa antenna array is clearly visible. production version.

I think block-I carried KG-300 pod, while Block-II is able to carry ALQ-500P pod which can be expected from block-I even.
You are free to believe in conspiracy theories that fascinate you the most. There's no reason to mount pl15 and 10e for every photoshoot nor is there a need to keep the front fuselage open to show off aesa.Having space for and actually having it installed are 2 different things. Every flight is one thing, any flight is another. Again not saying anything is amiss, just that ot seems odd.Hi,
Thank you for the post---. I do not think that the Paf is going to let lose just like that with the equipment package on the Blk3---. There is no reason to, other than to satisfy the fanboys---.
As for no visibility of the SD 10 / PL 15's---there is no reason to show them off on every flight, because it cost to replace the seeker head cooling system---.
I can't recall any, plus what I suggested was more for folks that want to see more / other AAR options for the PAF which likely is not even considered a high priority by the PAF superiors.Haven't seen any examples of buddy refueling in PAF ?
That platform is sort of lower on support much like the SAAB 2000 and doesn’t provide much for AAR. That needs a widebody fatto to really deliver a good amount of gas.I can't recall any, plus what I suggested was more for folks that want to see more / other AAR options for the PAF which likely is not even considered a high priority by the PAF superiors.
For JF-17 Buddy refueling option, PAF will have to dole out $ for testing of the pod same / similar to what PLAN is using on the Flying Shark. or the PAF could join the PN with the E-1000 platform and convert 6 odd for Cargo / AAR. Although E-1000 likely won't be able to carry as much as the Midus but be more then the JF-17. Also PAF be able to share the logistics, spare and Maintenance with the PN.
With E-1000, as others before I have mentioned, could become the platform for AWACS / AEW ( special Mission platform. )
True, agree with your points. Reason didn't mention the C-130 as they are sorely needed for other duties then the AAR. Ideal platform be A-3xx series but I doubt Airbus will entertain AAR version for PAF and that for handful of platforms and antagonize the Indian Lobby. That platform is sort of lower on support much like the SAAB 2000 and doesn’t provide much for AAR. The PAF did not maintain its Gaz pods for the IL-78 initially due to lack of skillset and lack of operational use but does have enough to maintain currency.
The aircraft it can use for buddy refueling effectively are the Mirages and Vipers - considering all the time they have accrued they could have also done the same with the C-130s using a ro-ro loads.
Pakistan is a market for no one except the China trying to prove things out to the GCC.True, agree with your points. There was a report I read of P-3Cs used in Afghanistan to jam electronics on the ground even garage door remotes, something like that. I cant find it, would want to read it again, but a detection system for IEDs or roadside bombs from the air would be useful, whether on fixed or rotary platform. That platform is sort of lower on support much like the SAAB 2000 and doesn’t provide much for AAR.
