Why does the placard only shows the Chinese assets working as a team ?? Is PAF trying to create these two teams, Chinese (JF-17, J-10, ZDK-03) and Western (F-16s, Erieyes) ??

Also, another dumb question, does the canted AESA on J-10 means it is not meant to/ has limited look-down/shoot-down capability ??

All paf assets communicate and share data through domestic link 17, RTDL.

so the configuration can be

Wingtip 2 PL5s, 2 outer win pylons MK82s, 2 inner pylon MK84 and one belly MK84 ???? Is that loading possible ?

@kursed and @SQ8 You reckon same SDR will be in J-10, Mirages & F-7PG's ? and Block-1 & 2 as well?

Mirages and F-7PGs are all R&S kits and will likely remain that way unless the PAF has extra funds to spare.

Not sure of the exact lineage of this SDR since it is possible it is a modification or codevelopment.

That is what was done with the PRC- 966x series with NRTC hastily attaching stickers on top of the Aselsan logo. Although in fairness the encryption board on that was all Pakistan made because the threat wasnt India but the US and it really is a very secure piece(at least then)

That be akin to turning a Toyota Supra MK4 in to a Bedford truck.

Take into consideration of JF-17 Max Takeoff Weight, external load factor, time of day and temp outside. Is the Runway long enough for take off with that type of Load ( 3 * 2Klb + 2 * 500lb = > 5Klb ) and the PL-10 weight along with internal fuel.

Posters should understand that there is a reason for the development of smart bombs---where 1 bomb may do more damage than 4 dumb bombs---.

Hi Q is if it’s BLk3 why PAF is not ready to use PL10 with the HMDS already mentioned until unless it’s BLk2 if you talking about

The PL-5 in question are training rounds. I’ve read that due to some quirk of aerodynamics the JF-17 flies better with wingtip armaments than without. Every time you hook a live round to the aircraft it expends the lifespan of the missile.
