Thanks, Nep, I'm going to be inducted as an officer OF-1 after training. My branch deals with selection, assessment and coaching of psychological aspects of the air force so I will be directly dealing with that and I suppose that makes us in fleet management but I'm not sure. Thank you so much, Nep! I've already seen a couple of Mirages

@jaibi That feeling you have right now is firing you up right? Whats your branch? Will you get a BMW? Combat/fleet management? I was gonna be a MH-60 Seahawk pilot. Anyways, you'll make it. Thé best thing for officer cadets I believe is that when you're OF-(D), you are considered as in active service. So it counts from your retirement from day one! You have 8-years served when you become OF-1. You'll visit dozens of air force installations, bases, squadrons, force HQs. They'll take you as observes to some large scale exercises..and a lot of public interaction hours. Get your gear up, you're not a dumb civie anymore, no mistakes no second chances

Btw bro, until you are commissioned, you are a OF-(D) which's the nato rank code for officer cadets. It will count from your retirement.

Yup, Nep, I'm commissioned. I think my training would take 6 or so months at the academy and then another 6 or so months as a UTO (under training officer) for my subject: psychological eval and assessment. The Branch I technically fall in is called the Education Branch in the PAF (and the PN too). It consists of all teachers hired (subject specialists like Physics, Maths etc) and non-Engineering specialists (like me) but the Psychologist's use is versatile so no knowing where I'd get attached.
