The Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced decision on Jahangir Tareen's review petition.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jahangir Khan Tareen, the senior member of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), remains disqualified for life after the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected his review petition on Thursday.

Chief Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that Jahangir Tareen created a company outside Pakistan to save his money.

“Jahangir Tareen was asked to present documents but he has failed to do so,” the CJP remarked, adding that ownership of trust deed belongs to Jahangir Tareen and his wife.

In January this year, the apex court had disqualified PTI General Secretary Jahangir Tareen for life under Article 62 (1) (F) of the Constitution of Pakistan.

The petition to disqualify Tareen was submitted by PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi in November last year who accused the PTI leaders Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen of not declaring their assets to the ECP and violations of the lncome Tax Ordinance, 1979, and Peoples Act, 1974.

Non elected members influence political parties worldwide. This is part and parcel of the democratic process. Find a single country anywhere which has democracy where people who support parties or candidates cannot influence them? It's the nature of the beast. I don't think it's a good thing, but it is what it is.

Issue is not if he elected or non elected but dishonesty and corruption as declared disqualified by SC. Such person should not be running affairs of party and should not be making important decision for PTI if we follow the benchmarks set by Imran Khan

A good decision. A person with a tainted past shouldn't be allowed to make the decisions regarding fate of Pakistanis.

First of all you should not be comparing PTI with PML N because PTI came up with slogan of Tabdeeli and claimed to be different or more holy than existing parties. If you have to justify your wrong act by comparing youself with them then rip change. Imran is being judged as per his own high principles

Tareen is businessman so obviously he was not spending his money for love of Pakistan. He had his own interests and he is not mere consultant. He was the one who nominated puppet Buzdar as CM of Punjab and if court accept his appeal then we would have seen tareen as CM of Punjab though he still running the show indirectly.
