J11b Pakistan future Navy jet fighter

These type of things PAF will never display untill they have them officially, PAF always have staff in China now and they are doing lots of stuff there, and J-11Bs were not just visited PAF base in Karachi for some exercise they were brought here for purpose. Tell me why PAF want to test them in Karachi when they could have put them in exercise on more important bases like Sargodha.

Maybe they were evaluating the marine strike capabilities of J-11Bs. Also possible, no?

During the MMRCA evaluation, Eurofighters and Rafales too were flown from Goa to Bangalore to Punjab to Ladakh. This might have been something similar.

Pakistan does not need a heavy fighter. Medium sized fighters like J-10 and J-31 would do perfectly as PAF's high tier.

For now you are correct, but if IN's expansion continues and our economy got better then PAF may go for J-11B type fighter as it will add more capabilities to PAF specially for going after IN & IAF at sea.

.
Any references to show that PAF pilots have been training on these planes? It's the first time I'm hearing this.

And if Chinese Pilots fly these planes, it's safe to say the conflict will not remain localised or regional in it's scope. I don't think such escalations are going to happen in the first place.
One interesting reference comes from a site.

@Oscar Thanks for the timely & informative post :-). Do you think in any future hostilities with India PAF might request few J-11Bs to handle IN & IAF threat at sea and coastline??

@Indischer why you have air force ranking here?? :what:

I like the AF more than Army. It's a new feature introduced here, in case you didn't know. You can choose between the three services for a commensurate rank. :-)

it will be good to procure it, as it can serve as a potent force multiplier...

Go to Personal Details, which is available when you click on your name in the top right corner. There, you'll find a field called 'Rank'. Change the option to whichever service you want.

Can't find it, i think its not allowed at lower level posters like me. :(

It must be there! Even new recruits have changed their ranks. There is no option called 'Ranks' once you click personal details?
