every time when J-10 is mentioned, those indians keep telling me it is a lavi clone.

ffs, when we had this J-9 project, the Lavi team is still learning how to walk with their baby sitters, yet no one would check such openly available information on the internet and just keep posting using their imagination.

when you point it out, present the truth backed by well documented details, they call you troll.

any educated people could see what is the problem here.

Chengdu J-9 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

why not have a read before you post your imagination on this forum?

let me tell you one more extra fact: J-10 is designed in Chengdu, Chengdu got such design capacities when the J-9 project was transfered from Shenyang to Chengdu. Lavi is just a joke, J-9 is 10 years ahead of its layout design.

as a full member joined for more than a year, you should have known what to do and what not to. i hope you can surrive the overwhelming criticism and more importantly, learn to respect and understand those incoming "enemies".

Let's not antagonize the Indian unnecessarily. Keep the focus onto Pakistan only.

True, but I still find shchinese postings much more informative than many Indian members here (even if they are 'antogonizing'). Besides, he knows lots of stuff that most of us don't know about. Some members say the same thing about Indian members taking over this forum, but I say the more the merrier. :pdf:

I dont care if its a lavi clone or not
probably not at this point of its development for certain anyway.
All that concerns me are its capabilities.

Why J-9 boasting in india defence thread ? Nationalism ? looks like.

Israelis have sold everything related to Lavi design and is a known fact.

unless if you show me evidence. evidence is not something you believe, it is not something simply regarded as "known".

Is that why Pakistan wants to upgrade the FC-20 with western avionics.
Do They feel they dont deserve such a good plane and want to even the playing field with India.

How nice of you.

Hi Shchinese, I could not find more info on J-10 and LAVI connection but found some thing real on the following link:-
Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) Lavi
it simply states :-

The Chinese Chengdu J-10 (F-10) seems to draw heavily on the Lavi program. However, a close examination of the model of the J-10 shows nothing more than an old technology fighter with the shape of a modern one. A prototype was in the final stage of construction at the end of 1997 and Israeli and Russian companies were competing to provide the radar and the associate air-to-air missiles and air-to-ground weapons.
