the current 5th gen stealth fighter J-XX is under development````and it has two versions
1: domestic ones, for PLAN only so far``
2: export version, the weapon bays cannt accommodate WVRM, it has to be stationed on wings

compared to the current J-20s, J-XX's requirement for maintainability, survivability, stealthness and battle awareness is very strict````WS-19 will be ready around 2022 (mass production version)````

As far as I know, there are European and Middle Estern countries had visited SAC regarding this project```but I cant tell the names`````

Well do you see NATO screaming about S-400 purchase? We tried to buy stuff from US and they didn't even sell simple drones, heck they didnt even sell few automatic rifles (nice that because of their secret arms embargo, now we produce our own rifles and drones). NATO understood our stance and agreed with us.

If we can't get 5th gen multirole fighter from US, there is only J-31 left on the table, NATO will understand that. US? they will get crazy and i would love to see that . US talks about full blown economic and military embargo on Turkey, don't expect us to think forward US interests. We would rather go for Turkish interests to make US mad.

China will be happy to remove USA's bridge towards Caucasus and Middleeast as Turkey will be dependent on China in air fleet, just like Russia enjoys ditching US power projection in Turkey by selling S-400s, building Nuclear power plants. (China will also build one nuclear power plant in Turkey's thrace)

J31 would open a new Pandora box of controversies and would divert resources from tfx

Answer to that is ofcourse closing down Incirlik. Stopping of production that makes critical parts for the F-35. Starting talks for alternative jetfighter like the J-31 so they realize they make exactly the same mistake about patriot systems. Unfortunately, I think their congress is very well aware of what they are doing. A strong and powerful Turkey is not in their interest (especially not after the Turkish-Israel crisis). Erdogan might be delusional at times, but he is right on this one. This is nothing less than an attempt to no allow Turkey to become too powerful. Economic attacks, F-35 blockade, YPG are just tools to achieve that.
