What's new

It's Tibet

Since you apparently were not directing that comment at me, what can I say?

If you want to find some information on gender equality statistics, you are welcome to do it, and I'll come back and give an argument based on that.

It was directed at post 64 by Below Freezing(as I quoted on my initial post). He seemed perfectly A-ok with bringing in such stuff into his laundry list against India, and I thought I should remind him of the ground realities before one's imagination sprouts wings.

oh and by the way, most of the other stuff didnt even merit a reply...stuff such as these.

Totalitarian military monarchy India is infringing upon the territory of democratic socialist China.

^^

Yeah there is a reason why Sonia Gandhi is the most powerful person in India, not Manmohan Singh.

The leader of the state, should be the most powerful person in the country, not some person who just happens to be from the Nehru-Gandhi family.

do you know how democracy works??

just so you know, leader is elected by people.

The national leader should be the most powerful person in the country. This is true in all major democratic countries except one, as far as I can tell.

Anyway I'm not going to get into a flame-war here, best to get back on topic.

This aberration is limited only to the congress party and even then only because MMS is a weak PM. There were other congress non-Gandhi PM's who did not toe the line of Sonya. One has to remember that it was Sonya who campaigned in the last election...and she was changed in the last minute because of the uproar it would have caused in the country. Obviously she picked someone who would toe her line.

Congress is but a small part of Indian democracy.

I agree on that.

hmmm....interesting,strange though.

I guess even forbes believes Sonia pulls Manmohan's strings

Well they messed up the ranking of Hu Jintao (no way he is number one) so maybe they messed that one up as well.

Any other rankings?

Who says Bharat is a democracy, If they are a democracy why dont they give kashmiris their basic rights to to decide their own future.

Bharat is totalitarian dictatorship which is being ruled by they same family in past 60year history.

450 million dalits no rights
150 million muslim alienated in india
The numbers for the Scheduled Classes and the Dalits is about 450 million. There are 150 million Muslims. All alienated and hate the status quo (read Central government).

Even according to Bharti official reports the Muslims of Bharat are discriminated against, the general Bharti populace sees the Bollywood version of reality in Bharat rather than facing the reality of Bharati Muslims–discriminated against, rebuffed in jobs and simply alienated. Tokenism is propagated to unbelievable levels.

Bottom line bharat is a despotic regime who will cross any limits even if it has to kill its own citizens as we see regularly in Kashmir, 26/11 to occupy foreign lands
