What's new

It's official. No more Arjuns!!!

Haha dude give me a break 124 tanks after a quarter century worth of work.. This tank was supposed to be inducted in 1000's, you know we are going to stop criticising cuz it actually works way better for us if you induct Arjun

Honestly tho you'd be better of making a indegineous khota, your army will be super comfortable with them since they'll be able to relate on a whole different level and DRDO will finally have something that works

Well, As I told You... DRDO is working on an improvised version of Arjun MBT.... Well We are keeping our Army Equipped and doing R&D aswell, so I do not see Any chance for criticism , T-90 does the role Of Arjun, T-72 being upgraded, a 2000 fleet of t-72... And Arjun MBT, So its a wise decision to opt for a new upgraded version of Arjun MBT...

And more over this news by itself is wrong that Arjun MBT is dead... Its not official yet and the trials with T-90 is still undergoing...

.
EDIT: by the way you guys are bringing real bad publicity to your gods/dieties, next time pick a name that eases the pain/embarrasment

Post deleted. no point of clarifying some ones idiotic good for nothing comments.

That is no reason. The T-90 could perform its role better than the Arjun is why Arjun failed. Don't make it sound that they had 2 of the same caliber MBTs and so they went like "Hey why bother?"

Also if there is nothing disastrously wrong with an Inhouse project there is enough reason to support the local industry to make moves towards being self reliant.

You have to admit LCA has had the equal number of delays with the IAF already having said it is not really interested in it. So there is a good chance of things going south there as well.

The triple constraint rule for all projects in which they all work in

1. Cost
2. Time
3. Quality

DRDO has botched up in all three areas.

It is that way.... We have already Placed orders for around 1000 T-90, and Its too late for Arjun to prove its metal...Thats why the Army refused to buy it...

And As far as LCA is concerned, IAF pilots are impressed... But Again Indian airforce wouldnt go for bulk order of LCA... Rather Indian airforce would buy around 50-60 of these... and go for mark 2 variant of LCA which is under evolution...

And India is a country where Arjun was the first MBT project, LCA was the first Modern Supersonic fighter aircraft project taken up... it takes its own time to Research and Develop... We started from scratch.... And the next project we take up, we will have experiance in developing an MBT and Aircraft...

So can you tell which one is named after a god.... arjun is no god... neither is LCA Tejas...

At least we have names which are indigenous not of some foreign land and we do not try to find solace in history of others especially those who dont give 2 penny about us.

Do not derail it buddy... we are talking about Indian products... lets keep other Pakistani products away from This thread....

The tank is named after Arjun, one of the main characters of the Indian epic poem, the Mahabharata.

Agni (Sanskrit: अग्नि) is a Hindu deity, one of the most important of the Vedic gods.

Tejas = Agni = fire -> you = moron

Arjun is not a deity or any god it is just a character in the epic.
agni signifies fire nothing more than that
we have a policy of not naming our machines after gods.

dont try to proove once again that you are bigger idiot then what we all thought...
stick to the topic.

Ahmnn, sorry for the interruption ....

Agni Is no Hindu Diety.... Its the call of Nature.. Agni Is one among the Pancha bhotas(5 elements) And we consider Agni special because of a simple scientific reason...

You take any of the 5 elements except for agni, They all get polluted in any way or the other, but Agni(fire) dosent get itself polluted, so We call it Agni suddhi... That is not a god or diety, We use Agni to do poojas,"Agni sakshi"....

And Arjuna is an Epic Warrior
