Italian firms keen on missile defence system deal with Pakistan

Yea the S-400 has more range, but Pakistan would look at several factors. Yes, it'll need a SAM that provides a sufficient cross-border buffer, but other aspects, such as mobility, affordability and maybe even innovation (e.g. linking SAMs to AEW&C when ground radars are switched-off).

The S-400 is the superior system, but it is very expensive, which will prevent Pakistan from buying more than a couple of systems. The S-350, FD-2000 and even SAMP/T to an extent would provide greater numbers of systems, providing redundancy in case some get knocked out in SEAD or DEAD ops, or to bolster certain areas on an emergency basis.

However for Navy , the Aster platform seems interesting however I am personally not well versed with the capabilities of this Aster Missile platform , the Italian Ship / Missile look quite impressive ship by the way

YES Pakistan most likely will buy aster. But I am also hopeful for old EuroFighter and FREMM Frigates from Italy

Pakistan and Italy are enjoying some good warm relations. We may see things further improving as our economy gets better. Italy can be our entry point into western systems (like the French and US were in the past).

If buying from Italy, I guess one would get the Leonardo Kronos Grand, which is an AESA radar with an instrumented range of 250-300 km. The S-400 has multiple radar options, generally 400-600 km.

Bro, Pakistan and Italy has a SAM experience before with Spada-2000 missiles so A likely deal with Italian supplier to build Pakistani Milgem variant is likely from my perspective. We are almost sure that Pakistani corvette/frigates will have VLS so The missile suppliers from S. Africa to Italy, China will introduce their interests to supply related missiles for Pakistani warship programs.

And I hope the ships we buy from you have VLS but not for Air Defence role but for launching Cruise Missiles

Along with ASTER 30 and 15 I am hoping for these systems also by the way MBDA offer lot of different Ground Based Air Defence systems just look at there products here

Aster 30 if we get our hands on and can pay for it will be more than enough from Italy ... based on our Past SPADA 2000 Deal with them, i doubt Italy will have any problem giving Aster 30 to PA..
@Quwa @Blue Marlin how is Aster 30 compared to S-400 ?

Aster-30 is comparable to S-300 but with smaller range. Pakistan will waste money it she opts for Aster-15 as that's a short range missile with less capability. Aster-30 however, is considered an "anti-missile, missile". And has a speed of mach 4.5 (unclassified) and can counter the Bra-Homos and other higher speed missiles, to Fighter Jets to UAV's and Cruise Missiles. Very similar profile compared to the S-300.

But, for Pakistan, I think the best route is to try to acquire the S-300 in numbers as its cheaper than Aster-30. Another option is to acquire a Chinese version of the S-300 with licensed production or some TOT. So Pakistan can locally start to produce the SAMs (license production first) and can later come up with an internal missile of their own using Pakistan's internal industry that would be setup as a result of the license production (same logic as the JFT).

This would serve as an invaluable asset to Pakistan in the long run as the country will make her own SAM systems and Jets (JFT). Taking out two of the most critical dependencies on other nations in terms of national defense.

SU-35 and EF have most chances one of them would come you want to laugh same as SCAR haters were laughing and now SCAR won so please I have seen many people like you before also. So grow I am not in dream I know things which I am telling and yes Pakistan General who is head of procurement for all armed forces was in Russia and for a month. He was not there to play dandia

So you are thinking both EF-200- and Su-35 coming to PAF
