ISRO launches record 104 satellites into space

This was a commercial mission and you dont know anything about the hefty benefit we are going to acquire through this launch .This is our business .Space business.

They know that quite well. You see they are spending $410 million on a single satellite having 40 transponders. Yep, on one single satellite.

Meanwhile someone went to Mars with $75 million dollars.

Are you serious ?
38 straight successful pslv launches is not a sign of reliability ?
Without hitches also means reliability.
Av cost is 16 m usd per launch for pslv xl. Much cheaper than any comparable launcher at the moment. Though spacex might have other ideas.
Other south asian countries dont even mfr satellites . What should we keep space for ?

  1. What's wrong with keeping it up and improving the record? 38 straight launches is brilliant; how does 76 sound?
  2. As for pricing, commercial launches are still largely in the pockets of the likes of SpaceX and Arianespace. It's a cut-throat market and cost control is needed all the time.
  3. That others in the region are not anywhere near our capability is precisely the point. This is an area where our neighbours need to be given a helping hand; a satellite is the last stage.

We need the LVM 3 & Semi cryogenic launcher to compete with Arianespace & SpaceX.

Also the GTO payload of gslv mk2 is being upgraded to 3 tonnes- that is Soyuz territory

Will it kill them to have a Full HD cam onboard? Or rather just edit the video to have correct white balance? Or maybe just label the camera views...?

We are doing everything right, but why do we leave the PR part to ruins?
Unfortunately the cameras aboard launch vehicles have different parameters than the commercial ones. There are not only shape/size/weight limitations, but also vibration/shock/atmosphere proofing restrictions. On top of all these, the video is usually transmitted in real time from the LV so there are bandwidth limitations too.

Its not about the PR, they are probably using the best instrumentation and telemetry cameras they've got.

The ISRO have launched 180 foreign satellites since 1999. The US is by far their biggest customer with 114 satellites launched
