I know you're in denial but reality of situation is clear to everyone. An civilian car drove into Gaza with Israeli special forces in it trying to assassinate someone else inside Gaza. They got caught in process by forces at outskirts in Gaza and got shot at. One Israeli soldier appears to be killed during the clash and Israel air force bombed the area and evacuated the rest of them.

Go watch an Israeli news stream on FB, and it's very clear what they believe occurred.

For a few days I actually thought the Israelis had realised the world is changing and the US is loosing power so they must get the best deal they can, given the supremacy they enjoy may not last forever.

Turns out they actually believe that the situation is a result of their inherent superiority and that their advantage will last forever.

Just remember these routine trimmings are going to bring yet more bad press around the world. The crying mothers, the dead/injured kids. The Israeli citizens sitting on hills and cheering on as bombs fall on Palestinians.

I wonder what will all of these images being sent out year after year, decade after decade, lead to. When the US isn't as influencial and /or decides to focus inwards. How will the demographic and geographical realities and resource disparities between the Israelis and the Muslim world around play out then.

He is not that high ranking, there are hundreds if not thousands of senior commanders or field commanders inside Hamas's military wing. Gaza officials say six Palestinians killed in Israeli raid

Senior commander of Hamas's armed wing killed by Israeli forces in undercover operation, officials in Gaza say.

Security officials in the Gaza Strip say at least six Palestinians, including a senior commander with Hamas's armed wing, have been killed by Israeli forces who carried out an undercover operation in the besieged enclave.

A senior official of Hamas, the group administering the Gaza Strip, said on Sunday that an Israeli special forces team infiltrated an area near the southern city of Khan Younis in a civilian car.

Among those reported killed in the raid was Nour Baraka, a prominent commander of the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.

"We heard that a special Israeli unit went inside Khan Younis and assassinated Nour Baraka and another [commander]," Ghazi Hamad, senior Hamas official, told Al Jazeera.

"After [that], the car which carried this special unit or some collaborators, they tried to escape … but they were followed by Hamas and the al-Qassam Brigades and after that Israel tried to cover this car through striking here in Gaza," he added.

"I expect this night in Gaza to not be easy, to not be calm."

Witnesses said that during the chase Israeli aircraft fired over 40 missiles in the area where the incident took place, killing at least four other people.

Your Hamas boys are Iranian agents and do Iran's bidding. Any time there's any movement towards any sort of deal, Iran makes a phone call and conflict starts again.

Exact same thing happened after Bibi's Oman visit. Your Hamas and Islamic Jihad boys fired 40 rockets into Israel. That was also an Iran initiative.

It seems like these members of this special force unit were dressed in civilian clothing. And tried to appear like Arab residents of the Strip. That were sent for an intelligence mission deep inside Gaza but were stopped by an Hamas field commander. After which they killed him and tried escaping, but were shot at by other Hamas forces. That is one narrative. It is agreed upon that they were inside Gaza likely in civilian clothes trying to pose as Palestinian residents of Gaza.

Israeli army is claiming situation(from their end) is over. This is doubtful as there are drones and warplanes still in the sky. And they closed up an area near the border. Palestinians need to be alert of any more incursion attempts or even assassination attempts via air.

Just as you justify your attack today as being provoked by the previous Palestinian attack, you cannot say the Palestinian attack was unprovoked. They too will point to an earlier attack by Israel and say that rocket launch was in response to that.



Just remember, in all of this, the Palestinian and Israeli power difference does little to help the Israeli side's image.

I am curious, how many Israelis did the previous rocket launch by Palestinians kill? How do you suppose the Palestinians will respond to this attack that has already resulted in multiple casualties?
