Israel will not oppose US sales of “specific weapons systems” to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Benny Gantz said, in an apparent reference to the high-tech F-35 warplanes sought by Abu Dhabi.
Under a principle of preserving Israel’s “qualitative military edge”, the United States consults with it on proposed sales of advanced arms to other countries in the region.

Israel has reiterated a need to maintain its military superiority since forging official ties with the UAE and fellow Gulf Arab state Bahrain under deals brokered by US President Donald Trump.
Washington agreed to consider allowing the UAE to buy F-35 stealth jets in a side deal to the normalisation agreement between Israel and the Emirates.
Gantz reached agreements in Washington this week with US defence chief Mark Esper that he and Netanyahu said would significantly upgrade Israel’s military capabilities.
“Since the US is upgrading Israel’s military capability and is maintaining Israel’s qualitative military edge, Israel will not oppose the sale of these systems to the UAE,” they said on Friday.
The Israeli statement did not mention the F-35 explicitly, however.
“We’ve never had a dispute with UAE; they’ve always been on our side. And that process is moving along – I think hopefully rapidly,” Trump said. He was speaking in the White House Oval Office after announcing that Sudan would be the next country in the region to forge ties with Israel.

The removal of Israeli opposition clears one important hurdle to US congressional approval of F-35 sales to the UAE. US lawmakers have tried to rein in the Trump administration’s plans for arms sales to the Emirates and Saudi Arabia because of concerns over their involvement in the war in Yemen.
Israel enjoys broad support in Congress and if it opposed the deals, it would be nearly impossible for them to advance.
The US Senate Foreign Relations and House of Representatives Foreign Affairs committees, whose members have criticised the UAE’s role in civilian deaths in Yemen, have the right to review and block weapons sales.
this is a good development, i think.. thought it might interest you.

F-35 will give UAE punch against rival Turkey's F-16C Block 50 from the mid 90s in Libya war. Erdogan called for taking back Jerusalem for Muslims and he pissed off Israel. Not smart.

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday appeared to confirm that Israel has given its consent for the United States to sell F-35 fighter jets to the UAE following the recent agreement establishing diplomatic relations between the Mideast countries.

The expected sale would make the UAE the first Arab nation - and just the second country in the Middle East after Israel - to possess the stealth warplanes. Netanyahu has repeatedly insisted the deal establishing ties with the UAE amounted to “peace for peace” and that arms deals were not part of the agreement. But UAE officials have indicated there were understandings on the matter, and President Donald Trump has said the US was considering the UAE request for the planes.

Speaking to reporters Saturday night, Netanyahu said the sale only came up after the diplomatic pact with the UAE was signed at the White House last month.“Only after signing the agreement, the Americans told us that the UAE, which always asks for F-35s, is asking permission from us to consider this thing practically,” Netanyahu said.

He said Israel sent a professional delegation to Washington for talks at the Pentagon and gave its consent after receiving assurances that the US would continue to guarantee Israel’s military edge in the region.
“Only yesterday did we give our approval to this deal,” Netanyahu said.

The UAE deal has been hailed by the US and Israel as a historic breakthrough. It paved the way for Bahrain and on Friday, Sudan, to follow suit in establishing formal diplomatic ties with Israel.

Only a few of Turkey's F-35 were ever built before US imposed arms embargo on Turkey. Maybe a few will be but the vast majority will be new ones.

I don't think so. Their pilot already go thru orientation and full training. Looks like a squadron is available to deliver for turkey during that time.

Greece is unlikely as they are broke but UAE is possible from getting Turkey F-35.
