I don't think its a good buy for Israel. These jets have a lot of kinks that need to be worked out and they are extremely expensive.

Israel would be better buying more advanced F-15, F-16, and F-18.

Israel's enemies are in total chaos, Syria is in civil war, Egypt is imploding, Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into a war with Sunnis, Turkey's leaders are facing protests, Hamas is isolated and Fatah is powerless and Iran is changing its tune by electing less hardliners.

I guess same kind of argumentation was in case of F-15 - why buy so expensive jets. Israel cant compete in quantity, therefore we should rely on quality.
