Its not about if we can use a MANPAD, its about how fast we can use, as we need to deploy a soldier with it to the area.And this might take time.

We did use radar, that's the guidance of the Patriot, we cant just shoot it above Lebanon or Syria, we waited for it to enter the Israeli border

No idea which drone it was, but these Patriot missiles are coming close to shelf life expiry, and we are not going to buy new ones, unless some current customers would like to sell their stocks cheap, which are also going to be somewhere near shelf life expiry.

I agree David's Sling will be overkill for drones. Iron Dome can do the job, or SPYDER can do it cheaper than David's Sling (if we ever buy SPYDER for our air defense).
