What Indian Muslims are experiencing is the natural outcome of a communication strategy that has been adopted by far right groups. The idea is to manufacture a constant stream of controversy whereby yet another dimension of Muslim life can be stereotyped, held up for public scrutiny and marked out as a problem that requires resolute political intervention. Symbols can be endlessly generated, leaving every cultural marker to be labelled as yet more evidence of the excessive demands of eternally foreign culture on an overly tolerant Hindu "host".

Indian Muslims blame us, Pakistan, for all the issues they face in India hence there is a certain amount of hostility.
